The Los Angeles Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy (YPE) will hold its next networking meeting on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Association, 110 East 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014-2006.
JANUARY 31 IS A FREE ADMISSION EVENT
The happy hour/networking event will be highlighted by a speech from David Freeman, an energy executive, engineer, attorney and author who is one of the leaders in American energy policy and currently heads The Hydrogen Car Company. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners.
Freeman has been termed an “eco-pioneer” for his environmentally-friendly leadership of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and Tennessee Valley Authority. He also headed other major energy organizations, including the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
In addition to YPE members, C-level executives from across the city and industry are invited for an evening of networking. Our last meeting saw professionals from Southern California Edison, LADWP, Honda and more attend.
Who is a young professional? There’s no age limit or prejudice. All are welcome to enjoy this unique networking opportunity.
