She is famous…  4 Grammy’s, many Lifetime Achievement Awards, even a hospital in her name… but what she loves to do in her free time, if ever there was any… she’s booked all year in Las Vegas at the Flaming Hotel with her Summer Nights smash hit show….. is Travel with Raven her nearly 39242525-H1-IMG_1424three year old black Shepard who she just adores.

Olivia is a founding member of Healthy Child Healthy World. A charity she helped establish in 1992, in memory of our only child, Colette Chuda. The London Hotel was the perfect venue to celebrate the announcement of a merger between Healthy Child and the Environmental Working Group, one of our nation’s most powerful advocacy organizations.

What do pets and kids have in common? Toxins in the environment. In the first study of its kind, Environmental Working Group revealed that American pets are polluted with even higher levels of many of the same synthetic industrial chemicals that researchers have recently found in people, including newborns. This study was the first to examine pets as sentinels in the home environment.

Today, parents are consumed with information about how to keep their children safe but many are just as concerned about their pets. The study indicates that just as children ingest pollutants in tap water, play on lawns with pesticide residues, or breathe in an array of indoor air contaminants, so do their pets. But with their compressed lifespans, developing and aging seven or more times faster than children, pets also develop health problems from exposures much more rapidly. And for anyone who has lost a pet to cancer or another disease potentially linked to chemical exposures, this sentinel role played by pets becomes a devastating personal loss.

The event was a huge success thanks to the magnificent hospitality of The London’s staff and Healthy Child Healthy World’s host committee.

With interiors orchestrated by famed designer David Collins Studio, The London West Hollywood is destined to become your ‘private residence’ in L.A. In Collins’ unique, imaginative and refined style, English country flirts with California sun and dances with Hollywood’s Golden Age. The result? A calm-yet-cosmopolitan chic is subtly woven into every aspect of the hotel – from the classic & chic lobby and elegant Boxwood Restaurant and London Bar, to a garden-inspired pool deck and private terraces inviting complete accessibility to Southern California’s ideal clime. The London West Hollywood is elegance custom-made for the Southern California lifestyle. And the roof top pool is one of the largest in the city.

The London West Hollywood is the pet perfect place to host an event. Animal Activists ought to get on the Green Carpet and book a venue now!  The recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award for Voice for the Animals, Linda Grey Heitz will lead the way.
