It’s a jewel of a hideaway in the confines of one of the wealthiest locations in all the world… Palm Beach Florida. What The Chesterfield has that other hotels lack is class.
Condé Nast Travelers Readers’ Choice Awards- Voted #3 in the top 15 hotels in Florida
Simply because the staff provides impeccable service and hospitality it is felt in every single detail. It may be considered a 4 star hotel but I beg to differ. When you consider the extraordinary details of the interiors, typical of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, The Chesterfield places patronage above and beyond everything else.
The beauty is always in the detail. The freshest of flowers woven from stem to art.
“We have been very fortunate to have traveled to South Africa to experience several of the prestigious Red Carnation Hotel Collection properties thanks to Arnelle Kendall, Vice President of Public Relations in the USA for The Travel Corporation, which also owns brands such as Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, African Travel, Inc., and Lion World Travel.”
We stayed in the Presidential Suite which had a private entrance at the top of the stairs. Waking up to the sound of the palms blowing in a cloudless blue sky and then having a delicious and sumptuous breakfast brought to the room with fresh piping hot coffee.
One simply can’t miss the very classic dry martini served in the Leopard Lounge. Just ask for Carl and he will top it off with more olives if you so please.
The Chesterfield offers something that no other hotel in Palm Beach can even try to duplicate. They serve an authentic afternoon High English Tea that is just superb! Inspired by The Milestone in London, this experience is not to be missed!
What we loved was the devotion to detail. First the pouring of the teas made in the English tradition infused ever so slightly with the aroma bursting from each beautifully coveted tea cup. The English sandwiches are my favorite served on soft buttery bread, chicken curry, or the cucumber and mint, and my favorite the smoked salmon and cream cheese. So delicious.
The perfect gift to celebrate with your friends and family.
The hand-baked British scones were smaller than usual but bursting with heat and flavor as we slathered them in fresh clotted cream and an array of preserves…. never enough!
And sitting in the intimate library with its 19th century flare decor and sipping a flute of champagne or cordial makes one imagine what Sir Winston Churchill might have experienced.
